Mexican-born Ana de la Reguera started her acting career in telenovelas and has since gone on to work with some of the leading TV producers and filmmakers in the industry. De la Reguera first began her career in the 1996 telenovela series Azul, where she had a small role as Cecilia. From there, she continued on in small to medium roles in a variety of Mexican soaps before making her film debut in Por la Libre (released internationally as Dust to Dust), where she co-stars as Maria. But it wasn't until 2006, when de la Reguera appeared in Nacho Libre, that American audiences began to take notice.
