“The White Collection,” a treasure trove of nearly 60 factory white Porsche sports cars, is being boasted as one of the rarest gatherings of Porsches. The collection’s home is best described as a Porsche sanctuary, designed around evoking the full allure of the Porsche sports cars with high ceilings, bright lighting, and white walls, floors and furniture. This December, the museum-quality space will be utilized by RM Sotheby’s to auction off the collection.
The White Collection boasts 63 vehicle lots with 56 being Porsche sports cars. A one-of-337 Porsche 959 is noted as the “crown jewel” of the collection for combining luxury and technology into a ground-breaking sports car that would compete with the Ferrari F40.

The entire display gives viewers a peek into the evolution of the 911. The 911 Carrera RS is represented from 1973 through the end of the air-cooled era. For example, a low milage 1994 911 Turbo S X85 ‘Flat-Nose’ in the collection is estimated to fetch between $1.5 million and $2 million, while a hand-built 1997 Porsche 911 GT2 could collect anywhere from $2 million to $2.2 million, and a 1993 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 is expected to sell for between $2 million and $2.5 million.
Carrera GT, 918 Spyder, GT3 RS, 911 Targa GTS, and Speedster models are spotted in the collection. There are also several 356 Carreras, including a 356 Carrera 1600 equipped with Porsche’s first race-bred engine and a Carrera RSR street car, a full on muscle-bound race car with a street interior. You’ll also see two red Porsche tractors and a quick preview of over 500 Porsche automobilia and memorabilia items such as accessories, tools, parts and literature.

RM Sotheby’s scheduled the auction to take place on Friday, December 1, and Saturday, December 2, at The White Collection’s home in Houston, Texas.
