Off-roading is one of the most fun activities that can be done if you have an off-road-capable vehicle. At the moment, the craze for off-roading in India is on a steep rise, and every passing day, we are witnessing the launch of new off-road vehicles in the country. One of the most popular full-size SUVs in India, the Mahindra Scorpio-N, also comes with a 4X4 layout, and recently, a rendering of this SUV imagined as a true-blooded off-roader has been shared online.
The video rendering of a Mahindra Scorpio-N imagined as a purpose-built off-roader comes courtesy of SRK Designs. The video uploaded on their channel shows this particular Mahindra Scorpio-N designed as a clean yet purposeful off-road vehicle. As mentioned, it is a rendering at the moment; however, it can be taken as inspiration by someone who wants to build an amazing yet simple off-roader based on the Scorpio-N.
Mahindra Scorpio-N Desert Storm Edition
Front
First off, let’s talk about the front end of this Desert Storm Edition of the Mahindra Scorpio-N. This SUV’s rendered iteration has been given a massive bullbar at the front, which covers the front grille and the two projector headlights. All of the chrome elements on the front grille have been finished in black chrome to go with the two-tone appearance of the overall build.

Side
The main highlight of this Scorpio-N off-roader build is this tan/sand color. This color is what gives this rendered iteration the name of Desert Storm. This color was seen with the Royal Enfield Desert Storm motorcycle for the first time. Also, the popular social media influencers Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West both had their individual Lamborghini Urus vehicles finished in this color. This color is derived from army vehicles.
Next up on the sides, it can be noted that the original diamond-cut alloy wheels have been swapped out for some bigger steel wheels finished in a gloss-black color. These steel rims also happen to be wrapped around with some meaty off-road all-terrain tires. The side window moldings of this SUV have also been blacked out to give it a dual-tone appearance. Additionally, the windows have been tinted in dark black color to add to the overall aesthetics.
Rear
Before moving on to the rear of the rendered SUV, it can be noted that the artist has provided a roof rack on top as well. Roof racks are one of the most essential elements of a purpose-built off-road vehicle. They help in carrying extra luggage and necessary equipment needed during an off-road expedition. Now coming to the rear, not much has been changed here except for the addition of a black ladder on the right side of the rear door. The rest of the vehicle looks very much like the stock car.
Mahindra Scorpio-N
From the factory, the Mahindra Scorpio-N comes available with two powertrain options. The first is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder mStallion turbo petrol engine, which produces a maximum of 175 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the other is a 2.2-liter four-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel engine with around 203 bhp and up to 380 Nm of torque. Both engines come with a standard six-speed manual transmission, while a six-speed torque converter automatic is available as an option.
