Jaguar’s latest special edition, the racing-inspired F-Type ZP, will reportedly be the last production F-Type powered by an internal combustion engine before the automaker turns to electric power. The ZP Edition is portrayed in color combinations seen on historic E-type race cars, colors that were never before offered on the F-type.
Earlier this year, in celebration of its 75th anniversary, Jaguar released the 2024 F-TYPE R 75 Coupé and captured crisp sound recordings of its supercharged V8 for all to enjoy. The F-TYPE ZP Edition, offered in coupe and convertible body styles, is an appearance package based on Jaguar’s F-Type R P757. The mechanicals remain untouched, and the 575-horsepower supercharged 5.0-liter V8 paired with an eight-speed automatic powers the all-wheel-drive system.
Cosmetic changes start with two color options: Oulton Blue Gloss, which sports a two-tone red and black interior combination, and Crystal Grey Gloss with a blue and black interior. A hand-painted white racing roundel on each of the doors with matching gloss white grille surrounds add to the retro racer look. A gloss black dashboard matches the brake calipers. The color hues and styling cues are inspired by the E-type’s first public debut followed by its racing victories in 1961.
Other features include diamond-cut 20-inch forged alloy wheels and special badges for the wheels, fenders, side sill plates, and dashboard, including a ‘One of 150’ SV Bespoke plaque, notating the rareness of the 150 examples that will be built before production ends next year.
In the press release, Jaguar managing director Rawdon Glover said: “The F-Type has captivated sports car drivers for more than a decade, just as the E-Type did five decades before it.
“The ZP Edition is the ultimate celebration of that lineage, joining an illustrious roster of heritage-inspired collector’s editions including the 2015 Project 7 and 2020 Heritage 60 Edition.”
