Skoda recently launched the new Slavia Matte Edition in four different variants, with prices ranging from Rs 15.52 lakh to Rs 19.12 lakh (ex-showroom prices). This special edition, the Skoda Slavia Matte Edition, comes at a premium of around Rs 40,000 over the corresponding top-spec Style variant and features a matte Carbon Steel exterior paint. The exterior of the new Skoda Slavia Matte Edition distinguishes itself from other variants of the sedan with its matte Carbon Steel paint scheme, providing it with a unique appearance. Enhancing the premium appeal of the Slavia Matte Edition’s exterior is the gloss black finish on the outside rearview mirrors and door handles. At the same time, it retains the LED projector headlamps, L-shaped daytime running LEDs, distinctive tail lamps with LED inserts, chrome grille, and 16-inch machined alloy wheels from the top-spec Slavia Style variant.

It appears that the differences between the Skoda Slavia Matte Edition and the top-spec Style variant of the sedan are limited to the exterior, as the cabins of both variants appear to be identical. Like the Style variant, the cabin of the Slavia Matte Edition features a dual-tone black and beige layout, along with a two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with knurled buttons.
Updated cabin features
The Skoda Slavia Matte Edition also retains the 7-inch full-TFT instrument console, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, touch-controlled panel for automatic climate control, rear AC vents, sunroof, push start-stop button, ventilated front seats, and wireless charger from the Style variant. Additionally, the new features introduced in the Slavia Style, such as footwell illumination, powered front seats, and a sub-woofer for the 8-speaker audio system, are also included in the Slavia Matte Edition.
The Skoda Slavia Matte Edition is available with two powertrain options: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine (115 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque) and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine (150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque). Both of these engine options come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, with optional transmission choices being a 6-speed torque converter for the 1.0 TSI and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for the 1.5 TSI.
