In its ten seasons on Cartoon Network, Adventure Time pushed the boundaries of animated television, offering plenty of dark episodes perfect for Halloween. Shows primarily aimed at children rarely have as much in-depth lore, but Adventure Time had enough to inspire a gender-swapped spinoff, Fionna and Cake. Adventure Time also stood out from the crowd with its spooky storylines. The show juxtaposed its rainbow-colored visuals and zany humor with a darker side, exposing Finn's deepest fears and generating a ton of new ones for him, too.
