Finally, after what seemed like ages, the Japanese automaker Suzuki has unveiled the newest iteration of its popular hatchback, Swift, at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show. The all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift has been fully redesigned to make it a lot more premium than the outgoing model. The company has shared a few detailed pictures of this all-new hatchback. So here is the 2024 Maruti Suzuki’s image gallery.
Front-end updates
First off, let’s talk about the front fascia of this updated hatchback. Maruti Suzuki, for the 2024 model, has heavily revised the front fascia of the Swift. At first glance, it resembles the outgoing Swift. However, this time around, it has been made a lot more modern and bold. The front gets a brand new set of all-LED headlights with a prominent LED DRL integrated inside the headlamp unit.
The center of the front fascia is dominated by a much more classy and modern-looking grille. This time around, it has been finished in high-gloss black and gets a thick black surround. The bonnet has also been fully changed and now features a new body line. Apart from this, the front bumper has been fully revised and gets a silver garnish element in the lower portion of the bumper. The fog light housings have also been changed this time around.

Side profile updates
Moving on to the side profile, the company has not fully changed the overall design. It still gets the same iconic Swift silhouette, but this time it gets a brand new shoulder line that runs throughout the length of the vehicle. Apart from this, the hidden door handles of the rear doors are gone, and it now gets the more traditional door handles. The alloy wheel design is also completely new and features a turbine blade style diamond-cut set, which enhances the sporty appearance of the new hatchback.
Rear-end updates
Taking a glance at the rear end of the new 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback, we can note that the main shoulder line is maintained with the new rear decklid and continues to the other side of the vehicle. Apart from this, the top half of the hatchback, which has been finished in gloss black, takes over half of the rear quarter, unlike the current model, which gets a little body color on the upper quarter panel.
What has also changed at the rear of the new 2024 Swift are its taillights. These are now all-LED units which get a C-Shaped brake light that adds to the modern appeal of this hatchback. The rear bumper has also been fully revised and now comes with a high-gloss black finish on the lower portion. Talking about the lower portion, it has been subdivided into three sections, and the two on each end house new red markers. The middle section has been kept for the number plate.
Interior of the new 2024 Swift
Now coming to the main highlight of the new 2024 Swift, which is its interior. The company has radically changed the plain old boring interior of the Swift hatchback and has jazzed it up to make it look like other Maruti Suzuki models on sale in the country. The overall layout is now much more complex and modern and looks inspired by the premium Baleno hatchback. It gets a dual-tone scheme where black and a lighter shade of grey have been layered to increase the appeal of the interior.
The center portion of this newly designed interior is dominated by the same 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which has also been seen on the Grand Vitara mid-size SUV and the Baleno hatchback. Just below it, the air conditioning vents have been placed, which are a lot sleeker and ditch the outgoing circular ones. Also, the automatic air conditioning system controls have been taken from the more premium models.
We can note that the pictures also show a CD slot just underneath the AC controls. However, most likely, this will not be offered in the India-spec model. Apart from this, the top-spec models could also be offered with a manual handbrake and instead get an electronic parking brake with a button on the middle of the center console just behind the new automatic transmission lever. The steering wheel has also been updated, and the instrument gauge cluster will also get a new modern TFT MID in between.
Powertrain
At the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, Suzuki showcased the new 2024 Swift with a brand-new three-cylinder petrol engine. This engine has been codenamed as the Z12 and according to reports it is a lot more fuel efficient than the outgoing 1.2-litre K-Series four-cylinder engine. The Japanese model was also equipped with a strong hybrid system which will help it in achieving around 35 kmpl. Most likely the company will not be offering this hybrid setup in India. However, some reports claim that even without the hybrid system it will be able to offer around 30 kmpl.
