Marvel's Spider-Man 2 features some major stakes that eclipse the threats of the prior titles in Insomniac Games' series, so it might seem a little odd that the Avengers never show up to deal with it. Peter and Miles are certainly powerful, but a couple of Spider-Men don't exactly hold a candle to a full team of superheroes with some especially strong abilities.
