Recently, a video showing a rooftop tent for the Jimny was shared online. It shows the process of installation and application of such a tent.
The video of Maruti Suzuki Jimny with a rooftop tent has been shared on YouTube by Adventure Hut on their channel. In the video, the presenter first introduces the owner of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny, which had come to their shop for the installation of the rooftop tent. Following a brief conversation with the owner of the Jimny about its performance and overall experience, the presenter asks the technicians to install the tent on top of the already-mounted metal roof rack.

Soon after the installation of the Jimny rooftop tent, the presenter asks the owner of the shop to test it out. She explains to the owner that to use the tent, it will first need to be unzipped. After this, she guides him to open the rear door and grab the metal staircase of the tent and extend it forward. Next up, she asks the owner to put the stairs on the ground and fully open the tent. Lastly, the technicians help in opening up all the windows of the tent, and the owner climbs inside the tent.
Owner’s Review of the Tent
The owner, after entering the tent, stretches out completely to check the length. He mentions that it is extremely spacious and the ventilation is top-notch. He states the mattress is very comfortable and it can easily accommodate three adults. He adds that the tent has exceeded his expectations, and he can’t wait to take the Jimny to an adventure on a mountain and park it near the cliff to enjoy the beautiful view from the windows.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny
The Jimny, as mentioned, is currently one of the most popular lifestyle off-roaders in India, and it competes against the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha. Maruti Suzuki offers the Jimny with a single powertrain option of a 1.5-litre K-Series naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine generates a maximum of 103 bhp of power and 134 Nm of torque. This powerplant is offered with options between a manual as well as an automatic transmission.
Maruti Suzuki offers the Jimny in two variants, namely the Alpha and the Zeta. Currently, the Zeta variant with the manual transmission is priced at Rs 12.74 lakh. Meanwhile, the Zeta variant with an automatic transmission is priced at Rs 13.94 lakh. The Alpha variant, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 13.69 lakh for the manual variant and Rs 14.89 lakh for the automatic variant. Additionally, the Alpha variant is offered in Dual-tone manual and Dual-tone automatic variants as well, which cost Rs 13.85 lakh and Rs 15.05 lakh.
