In addition to the news about the 2025 Ran 1500 Ramcharger PHEV, we also have news about the updates to the gas powered 2025 1500. The big news is that the old 5.7- and 6.4-liter Hemi V8s are being tossed out in favor of the Hurricane inline-six engine. This means that starting with 2025 there will not be any V8 gas or diesel engines offered under the hood of the Ram 1500.
The 2025 Ram 1500 offers three engine options, the 3.0-liter Hurricane and 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output (H/O) Straight-Six Turbo (SST) engines, and the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 eTorque. The 3.0-liter Hurricane engine is rated at 420 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque, while the High Output engine is rated at 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque. The Ram 1500 has a maximum towing capacity of 11,580 pounds and a maximum payload of 2,300 pounds. It also gets a new rear axle that is available in 3.21, 3.55 or 3.92:1 versions.
Inside the Ram 1500 gets some tech upgrades, including new touchscreens and an available screen in front of the front passenger. Thanks to its new Atlas structure, the Ram 1500 has level 2 and level 2-“plus” semi-autonomous driving capability.

On the outside there are also a few updates, including new LED headlamps with available twin bi-functional projector headlamps, are standard on Limited and up. At the front there’s a larger “forward-leaning” grille. At the rear there’s an available power open/close tailgate with obstacle detection.
The 2025 Ram 1500 will be available in several trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn and Limited. Sadly the TRX model is not part of the list.
