They slid in to take this release spot after the reshuffling of movie release dates following the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Based on a true story, and adapted from Mikael Lindnord’s book “Arthur: The Dog who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home”, the film is about an elite adventure racer who adopts a stray dog that follows him during an epic endurance race. Wahlberg plays a Swedish guy named Mikael Lindnord, who’s the captain of a Swedish adventure racing team, who befriends a wounded stray dog named Arthur, who accompanies the team on a grueling 400-mile endurance race through the Ecuadorian jungle. Also with Simu Liu, Juliet Rylance, Nathalie Emmanuel, Ali Suliman, with Bear Grylls as Himself, and Paul Guilfoyle. This actually looks quite good!
