Hocus Pocus 3 possible Mother Witch return has been addressed by Hannah Waddingham. The actor took on the role in the 2022 sequel Hocus Pocus 2, with her mentor character isolated to flashback sequences where she guided the Sanderson sisters (played as adults by Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimy) when they were fledgling witches.
