What Man United must do to qualify for Champions League knockout
For Manchester United to qualify for the Champions League knockout rounds, the following has to happen.
First, Bayern Munich must defeat Copenhagen tonight at Allianz Arena. A Copenhagen upset halts any possibility of the Red Devils moving on to the last 16.
Assuming a Bayern Munich victory, giving them 15 points in the table, Man United still stand a chance at qualifying. But Erik ten Hag’s side must beat Bayern Munich at Old Trafford on December 12.
Not only that, Manchester United’s advancement depends on either a Galatasaray draw or a loss against Copenhagen. Even if the Danes win, it’s up to goal difference, with United moving on to the knockout round with the edge.
