Finally, after months of anticipation, the Romanian carmaker Dacia has revealed the all-new Duster internationally. In India, the Dacia Duster will be sold under the French automaker Renault’s badge and will fill the void left by the immensely popular previous generation Duster. Recently, a detailed video review of the two top-spec trims – the Extreme and Journey of the Dacia/Renault Duster has been shared online. It shows all of the unique details of the upcoming Duster.
This video review of the Renault Duster comes courtesy of Autogefühl from YouTube. It begins with the presenter mentioning that this brand new Duster will be launched with a price tag of less than $20,000 (Rs 17 lakh), which is an extremely competitive price for a new vehicle in the European market. Following this, he starts the detailed walkaround and review of this SUV.
New Duster: Exterior Design (Front)
The presenter starts at the front of the new Renault Duster and mentions that this time around this compact SUV looks a lot more stronger and sophisticated. It gets a brand new front fascia inspired by the Bigster concept SUV, and the main highlight of the front is its new Dacia logo. In India, this X-shaped logo will be replaced by the Renault logo; however, it will continue to boast the all-new Y-shaped LED headlights. The main DRLs boast a thick Y-shape while the main headlight unit is tucked underneath it. He adds that the lower beam and other lights are LED; however, the high beams have been kept halogen.

He then shows the new and robust-looking front bumper with a massive dark grey skid plate that extends up very high. The presenter adds that it gets halogen fog lights and black plastic claddings on the lower portion of the bumper. He adds that the overall front looks a lot more proportionate and rugged.
New Duster: Side Profile

Following the front end, the presenter then shows the side profile of the new Duster. He mentions that the company has tried to experiment with a new recycled material for the side claddings of this SUV. He states that this new material gets sparkles scattered throughout it. After this, he adds that the top two trims – the Extreme and Journey will get 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and the two lower trims will get 17-inch alloy wheels. Next up he adds that the front door handle is a traditional one while the rear door gets one integrated into the door of the car. He adds that the overall side profile looks a lot bolder than before.
New Duster: Rear End

After showing the side profile, the presenter moves to the rear end of the 2024 Renault Duster. The main highlight of the rear is the new Y-shaped LED taillights. The presenter mentions that the rear tailgate is now bigger and bolder and gets a double bubble spoiler on top. He points out that just like the front, the rear also gets a massive dark grey skid plate along with a thick black cladding to protect during off-roading. He adds that the new Duster offers a 31-degree approach angle while the departure angle is 36 degrees.
Interior Design of the New Renault Duster

Following the exterior walkaround, the presenter shows the interior of the upcoming compact SUV. He states that despite the lower price point, the Duster offers a very modern layered dashboard layout. It gets a flat-bottom steering wheel, a 3.5-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The new Duster also comes equipped with Y-shaped air conditioning vents, automatic climate control, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and new sustainable material for seat covers. The presenter adds that despite not being as big of a car, the Duster offers a ton of space on the inside.
Powertrain Options

Coming to the drivetrain options, the presenter states that the new Duster will be offered with three different options. The first will be a 1.0-litre three-cylinder LPG/CNG engine. The second will be a 1.2-litre mild hybrid engine with around 130 bhp, and lastly, there will be a 1.4-litre four-cylinder Hybrid engine which will offer around 140 bhp. Sadly, there will be no diesel powertrain options this time around. As for the exact engine options which India will get has not been revealed. Most likely, the Duster will go on sale in India in 2026 after it has been launched in the European market next year.
