Renault has finally unveiled the next-generation Duster SUV in the market. The car was officially revealed in Portugal recently. The SUV will go on sale in the international market next year. The Duster will initially be available in European markets, with other markets receiving it later. Renault will bring the all-new Duster to India in the second half of 2025. Official images of the all-new Duster have been released online, so let’s take a closer look through these images.
Exterior
Let’s start with the exterior design. Compared to the previous generation, the all-new Duster boasts a brand-new design inspired by the Bigster concept showcased some time ago. Moving to the front, the SUV presents a rugged, off-road-ready design.
When it comes to the details, the SUV features Y-shaped LED DRLs integrated into a sleek headlamp cluster.
The headlamp meets a sleek front grille with Dacia branding in the center and muscular accents. Additionally, there are two silver-colored dotted strips extending the LED DRLs.
The front bumper of the new Duster also carries a muscular appearance, designed with cladding resembling a bull bar and a flat bottom. Integrated fog lamps and side air vents further enhance the bumper’s aesthetics.
The SUV’s bonnet features a power bulge in the center, maintaining the robust SUV look expected from such a vehicle.
Measuring 4.34 meters long, the Duster maintains the boxy design typical of an SUV. Squared wheel arches and a blacked-out vertical strip running under the ORVM add to its rugged appearance.
The SUV is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels for the top-end variant, while the lower-spec versions come with 17-inch units.
The front door handles are conventionally placed, but the rear door handle is neatly integrated into the pillar, a design reminiscent of many Indian cars like the Swift and Chevrolet Beat.
A roof rail adds to the SUV look of the Duster.
Moving to the rear, the standout features are the Y-shaped swept-back tail lamps with centrally positioned turn indicators.
The edgy, boxy design language seen throughout the car is evident here as well. The SUV features Dacia branding on the tailgate with “Duster” located at the bottom left.
A faux skid plate on the rear bumper adds more character to the SUV, while reverse parking sensors and a reverse parking lamp can be observed on the lower part of the bumper.
Interior
The interior of the new Duster has also undergone a revamp.
The Duster showcases a completely redesigned cabin with a layered dashboard finished in two tones. Duster branding is visible on the dashboard.
In the images, a fully digital 7-inch instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be seen.
The driver-centric center console ensures easier access to buttons and features for the driver.
Duster also gets wireless phone charging.
AC vents also feature the Y-shaped inserts seen on the exterior of the Duster.
The SUV is equipped with automatic climate control, ADAS, fabric seats and many more features
The 2024 Duster boasts a flat top and bottom steering wheel with multifunction buttons.
There are cup holders and an armrest on the center console.
The Duster, a 5-seater SUV, offers ample boot space of 472 litres for luggage.
Engine
The Dacia Duster is available with three engine options. The first is a 1.6-liter petrol engine paired with a strong hybrid system. The second option is a 1.2-liter petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system, featuring a 4WD capability. The third is a 1.0-liter engine option offered with petrol LPG/CNG in some markets. When launched in India, Renault Duster will compete with SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Virtus in the segment.
