It could be argued that the Ferrari F50 built from 1995 to 1997 isn’t the comeliest version of the nero cavallo. We think some minor exterior design discretions can be overlooked with the addition of race parts and sticky tires, don’t you? After all, the best view of any Ferrari is from behind the wheel climbing Eau Rouge at top speed in a crowd of F40s.

The second photo reveals this car’s racing heritage. The entire saga is outlined in the sale description, and we couldn’t help noticing that this car has been race-prepped for the Maranello Ferrari Challenge, with a nice photo of the F50 sitting on the grid in pole position. If that’s not cool enough, the list of races includes the Circuit de Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, where it went head-to-head with race prepped F40s and a 512 TR, Brands Hatch in England, and Le Mans in France. The F50 qualified on pole and finished First and Second at multiple venues in Europe and the UK, setting fastest laps and finishing Second in the Maranello Challenge series in 1999 and First in 2000.

After its racing career, someone imported the F50 to the United States where it sat on a showroom floor in Florida for 19 years. The car was flipped in 2019 and then shipped to Chris Dugan at Dugan Enterprises for a complete frame-off restoration that cost a reported $770,000 and change. The car then went on “the tour” of American shows, including The Quail at Pebble Beach. This all adds up to a Ferrari that has everything anyone could want or need in an exotic. Now the car is up for sale and can be yours. Just don’t forget to ask for the racing parts when you bid.
