Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent is strongly considering surgery on his left knee, according to NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
Vincent would be out for 6-8 weeks if he had surgery.
Vincent missed 23 games in a row due to his left knee injury. He made his return to the court on December 20 against the Chicago Bulls and played 13 minutes. Vincent finished with three points against the Bulls while shooting 1-of-4 from the field.

Vincent experienced discomfort and soreness in his knee after the Bulls game and now it looks like he’ll be going under the knife. The Lakers signed Vincent to a three-year, $33 million contract in July in unrestricted free agency.
The 27-year-old Vincent has appeared in only five games this season for the Lakers. He’s averaging 5.4 points, 1.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 37.5% from the floor, 11.8% from 3 and 50.0% from the foul line.
Vincent has career averages of 7.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists with the Miami Heat and Lakers. He’s making $10.5 million this season.

The Lakers improved to 16-14 on the season after beating the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 23. D’Angelo Russell was moved to the bench and Jarred Vanderbilt entered the starting lineup.
Los Angeles started LeBron James, Cam Reddish, Taurean Prince, Vanderbilt and Anthony Davis and won by a final score of 129-120 behind 40 points, seven rebounds and seven assists from LeBron.
