The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was born in Rowling's brain, along with each side of good and evil, the interactions between magical beings, and all the intricately crafted locations found across the series. She even devised rules for a brand-new sport, Quidditch, the broomstick-riding competition in which Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) excels.
