Dodge recently dropped the first photos of the 2025 Charger Daytona and now a prototype has been caught on video.
Originally snapped by Conner Mink on I-75 in Michigan, the prototype closely resembles the concept that was introduced in 2022. That being said, there are a number of minor changes including the addition of a rear spoiler and reflectors.
Elsewhere, the production model has a modified bumper with smaller vents and a more angular license plate recess. We can also see new lighting units and larger side mirrors.

Previous pictures have shown the rest of the model will closely echo the concept as it will have slender headlights that are connected by a thin illuminated strip. They’re joined by a relatively plain front bumper with vertical air curtains as well as a wide central intake. The road-going model also has new door handles and a thicker B-pillar.
Dodge has been tight-lipped about the Charger Daytona, but CEO Tim Kuniskis has previously said the electric variant will be offered with three different ‘power levels’ including a range-topping 800V Banshee propulsion system. The latter promises to make the model “faster than a Hellcat in all key performance measures.”
On top of the main powertrains, Kuniskis said they were in the process of developing multiple power levels that will be offered through Direct Connection. As a result, the road-going model is slated to have a total of nine different outputs.
While Dodge has routinely implied the car would be electric-only, that no longer appears to be the case. Instead, the model is expected to offer electric powertrains as well as a twin-turbo 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six. The latter has outputs of 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 540 hp (403 kW / 548 PS) in the 2025 Ram 1500.
To put those numbers into perspective, the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 produced 375 hp (280 kW / 380 PS) in the Challenger R/T. Likewise, the R/T Scat Pack’s 6.4-liter V8 developed 485 hp (362 kW / 492 PS).
