The development of a potential Echo season 2 has been given a disappointing update from a Marvel Studios executive. As part of Phase 5 of the MCU, and the first project to fall under the new Marvel Spotlight banner, Echo released all five of its episodes on January 9, 2024. Echo received generally positive responses from audiences, with praise being given to the series' more grounded storyline, its mature action, and its celebration of Native American culture and representation of the deaf community. However, this praise may not lead to a second season for the MCU's first Marvel Spotlight series.
