Tata Motors is bringing a notable shift to the Indian Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) car scene by introducing Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) in its CNG vehicles, a first for the industry. This means automatic transmission is now available in CNG cars, starting with the Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT models. Tata Motors is pioneering this change, aiming to provide customers with a unique blend of CNG fuel efficiency, automatic convenience, safety, and comfort features.
Bookings for the Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT are now open, marking a step forward in CNG car design. The addition of AMT in CNG vehicles is expected to set a new trend in the market, providing customers with an alternative that combines the benefits of CNG and automatic transmission.
Interested customers can book their preferred model by visiting a Tata Motors authorized dealership or making an online reservation for a modest amount of INR 21,000.
The Tiago iCNG AMT will offer three variants: XTA CNG, XZA+ CNG, and XZA NRG. On the other hand, the Tigor iCNG AMT will be available in two variants: XZA CNG and XZA+ CNG.
