Both engines get 6 speed manual and torque converter automatic gearbox options. Both engines drive the front wheels of the monocoque bodied XUV700 across nearly all the variants. However, the top-end diesel powered model can also be specified with an all wheel drive layout.
In the competitive SUV market, the XUV700 faces rivals like the Tata Safari, Toyota Innova HyCross, and Hyundai Alcazar. The Napoli Black variant sets it apart visually, while new engine options and tech upgrades bolster its appeal. The Napoli Black colour scheme for the XUV700 is aimed specifically at the Dark Edition paint job of the Tata Safari.
