The Ford F-150 Lightning has arrived in Europe as the first truck has been delivered to a customer in Norway.
Bleeding a slightly different form of red, white and blue, this particular model is an F-150 Lightning Lariat Launch Edition in Antimatter Blue Metallic. It was bought by Dag Ødegaard, who fell in love with F-Series pickups during trips to the United States. It’s also a good fit for his family and business as his wife is from Texas and he owns a store that specializes in selling American grill and barbecue equipment.
While a full-size American pickup will be an odd sight for Norwegians, they better get used to it as Ford announced plans to offer the Lightning in Norway last year due to “overwhelming public demand.” At the time, Ford called the country the “world’s most advanced electric vehicle market” and noted the Mustang Mach-E is one of the most popular vehicles there.

Jumping back to the present, Ford Motor Norway CEO Per Gunnar Berg said it’s an important day as they’re the “first country outside America to get [the] F-150 Lightning.” He added, “We look forward to going full throttle to give even more Norwegians the opportunity to experience an all-electric truck unlike anything else on offer here. It is both bigger, stronger and more capable than most you will find on the Norwegian market, and is just as good as a family car as it is for work.”

The Launch Edition costs 1,022,063 krones ($95,750 USD) and has a 98 kWh battery pack that powers a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 452 hp (337 kW / 458 PS) and 774 lb-ft (1,050 Nm) of torque. This setup enables the truck to travel up to 267 miles (429 km) under the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).
Putting the powertrain aside, the Launch Edition has LED lighting units, a spray-in bedliner, 20-inch wheels, and a Pro Power onboard system. Other highlights include a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.5-inch infotainment system, and two-tone leather seats with heating and ventilation up front.
