A low-mileage 2021 Dodge Hellcat Challenger SRT Superstock Wide Body from the Jim Root (Slipknot) collection was recently listed on the Hemmings.com Marketplace.
Being owned by a busy celebrity means that the wide body Hellcat Challenger was rarely used. It reportedly has always lived in a climate-controlled garage and displays just 4,016 original miles on the odometer.
James Donald Root, also known as Jim Root or by #4, is an American musician and rhythm guitarist for the heavy metal band Slipknot. Formerly, he was the lead guitarist for alternative metal band Stone Sour. Root joined Slipknot in January 1999, after the band’s original guitarist, Josh Brainard, left during the recording of the self-titled album.
His 6.2-liter V-8 equipped Challenger sports a Borla exhaust, and a Wickerbill spoiler, diffuser and side skirts. The eight-speed shiftable automatic sends the Mopar’s factory rated 807 horsepower and 707 lb.-ft. of torque to the rear wheels, at 6,400 rpm and 4,500 rpm, respectively. To support the muscle cars’s power and 4,454-pounds in curb weight, the Dodge Challenger is factory-equipped with four-wheel independent suspension and standard front and rear stabilizer bars.
Inside, the Superstock Dodge features a rear seat delete, however the stock rear seat is included with the sale.
Overall modifications are minimal. The exterior retains its factory white paint under a protective full vehicle wrap in satin white, and the added truck deck vinyl graphics shown in the video and photos are removable.
