The National Capital of India is once again witnessing farmer protests. Farmers from different parts of the country are protesting and demanding legal guarantees of a minimum support price (MSP), which acts as a safety net for the farming community. As part of the protest, the police force has completely blocked the protesting farmers from entering Delhi by closing down the way. A video of a girl in a car arguing with the protestors has now surfaced online. The girl is seen showing the middle finger to an elderly farmer and also using abusive language.

The video has been shared by Gagandeep Singh on his X profile. In this video, we can see a girl and her friend traveling in a Maruti WagonR. The girls were probably stuck on the road because of the ongoing protest. Frustrated with the long traffic jams, the girl started showing the middle finger to the people standing outside. It looks like the car was surrounded by farmers, and we can see an elderly man, probably a farmer, trying to calm down the occupants in the car.
However, she was in no mood to talk. As soon as the girl rolled down the window glass, she started abusing the elderly farmer and other people around. One of them from the farmer’s side can be heard saying that they were going to deflate the tire of her car. This made her even angrier, and she removed the seatbelt and took her phone out. One of the protestors even tried to take her phone away, but she pulled her hand back before they could do it.
The woman then started arguing with the farmers. The farmers can actually be heard saying in the video that they are making way for her car to move, but she was in no mood to listen. The girl in the driver’s seat took her phone out and started recording a video of the protestors who had surrounded her car.
The person recording the video was from the media and asked her why she was abusing everyone, including them. To this, the girl replied that why did the farmers stop them and she also claimed that the farmers tried to manhandle her. Under this video, we can see several people commenting in support and against the girl.
One of them commented, “Blocking commuters in the name of farmers’ protests is wrong and obviously frustrating for people who get stuck. But the abusive language and middle finger dance, that too with an elderly person, can’t be condoned as ‘bravery’.” Another user wrote, “No one has the right to block, attack, or destroy any public property, assets, or roads due to their issues.”
This is not the first time we have seen a video like this surface on the internet. In the past, there have been videos where protests have affected the lives of the common man. Along with legal guarantees of a minimum support price and other demands, the farmers have also demanded the withdrawal of cases that were registered against them during 2020-21.
