When I walked up to Kingpin at the PRI Show in Indy last December I thought it looked cool, but I had no idea how cool. This truck is truly something special. I spent 20 minutes walking around it with my buddy Kenny, and we not only looked at all the obvious stuff, but also little details like how in the hell the hood stays shut. Answer: It has tiny pins that slide out and register in tiny holes in the fenders. It’s clean. There are tons of details, the interior is nuts, and it sits perfect. I love this thing, and I’m not particularly big on F100’s so that’s saying something. But besides we want to see it go together, we’re sharing the build series on it from Classic Car Studio.
I’m sharing the first three videos in the series below and you are going to get to see just how clean this thing is and what went into it to make a crew cab that looks like it was supposed to be that way its whole life.
The first video is about cutting up the cab and making it a crew cab. The second is handling bed work and roll pan, etc. The third is more bed work plus making the fenders right. Oh and the chassis gets done in all that too. Check it out.
