The Tesla Cybertruck seems pretty tough, but one owner just experienced catastrophic damage due to a concrete wall. Details about the incident are hazy for now with people pointing the finger at various alleged drivers. What’s not up for debate though is just how badly the truck fared when someone drove it into a concrete landscaping wall.
Initial reports of the crash surfaced from an X, formerly Twitter, user with the handle J$LATT, indicating that the individual involved in the accident was a hotel valet. According to the post, the valet was maneuvering the truck when they somehow found themselves in the predicament depicted below. The poster even reached out to Elon Musk directly, seeking assistance in obtaining another truck.

That might be the quickest way to get back on the road considering that the Cybertruck in question is now missing its front right wheel completely. The front left wheel is also hanging half-way out of the wheel arch. There’s no way to know for sure, but it wouldn’t be shocking if the battery and front motor were badly damaged too.
Who did it?
A separate report from InsideEVs about the situation claims that it wasn’t a valet but the Cybertruck owner themselves that somehow made this mistake. The actual scene of the crash appears to be at the corner of Sunset Blvd, Beverly Dr, and N Crescent Dr. That intersection doesn’t appear to have any particularly challenging section. It’s plausible though that the driver simply miscalculated their turn and throttle application.
Interestingly, another X account user, WholeMarsBlog, chimed in to mention that the truck in question belongs to a personal acquaintance and that celebrity Justin Bieber was renting it at the time of the crash. They also assert that a valet was behind the wheel at the time of the incident. We’ll keep you updated with the latest information on this situation as it becomes available.
