After enduring a season fraught with setbacks and errors, Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors find themselves teetering on the brink of missing the playoffs altogether.

Head coach Steve Kerr remains optimistic about their prospects should they advance to the Play-In stage.
In a recent interview with 95.7 The Game, as reported by NBACentral, Kerr emphasized the precedent set by last season’s Play-In Tournament, where teams widely discounted, namely the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers, defied expectations to clinch playoff berths.
“If we ended up in that spot, I will remind the guys Miami made the Finals from that spot a year ago. The Lakers made the conference Finals from that spot… I will believe until the season is 100% finished, I will believe in our ability to beat anybody and as long as we have that. We got a shot.”
Despite initial skepticism, the Lakers made an impressive run to the Western Conference Finals, while the Miami Heat advanced to the Finals against the Denver Nuggets.
Drawing parallels, Kerr believes that his Warriors can emulate this resilience and success if they secure a Play-In berth.
Acknowledging the daunting challenge ahead, Kerr underscores the arduous journey that lies ahead for the Warriors.
Presently occupying the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a record of 35-32, the Warriors would need to overcome the ninth-seeded Los Angeles Lakers in the Play-In Tournament, followed by another opponent, to secure the eighth spot in the West.
Subsequently, they would face the formidable task of confronting the top seed in the opening round, a formidable obstacle by any measure.
Nevertheless, Kerr maintains unwavering confidence in his team’s capabilities, steadfast in his belief that despite the odds, they possess the potential to defy expectations and stage a remarkable postseason campaign.
