BYD, an all-EV car manufacturer in India, has reached a milestone in the electric vehicle market with its Seal EV. The BYD Seal high performance electric sedan has gathered an impressive 500 bookings within just 15 days since its launch on March 5, 2024.

We are confident in our product and pricing and are pleased to see the response it has generated in the market. We did hit the 200 bookings mark soon after launch, and within 15 days, we had registered 500 bookings.
The BYD Seal is offered in three variants: dynamic, premium, and performance, each catering to different customer preferences. With prices starting at Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom), the Seal boasts an enticing blend of features and performance.
Customers have the option to choose between single- and dual-motor configurations based on their driving needs and preferences. The base Dynamic variant is equipped with a 61.44 kWh battery pack, powers a 201 BHP electric motor, and offers a driving range of 510 km.
Stepping up, the Premium variant boasts an 82.56 kWh battery pack, delivering an extended range of 650 km. Paired with a 308 BHP electric motor, this variant promises excellent performance combined with enhanced efficiency.
For enthusiasts seeking top-tier performance, the Performance trim wins with its powerful specifications. Sporting an 82.56 kWh battery and dual electric motors, it pumps out an impressive 523 BHP and 670 Nm of torque.
This variant boasts a 0-100 km acceleration time of just 3.8 seconds, prioritizing power over range. The Performance variant delivers a driving range of around 580 km. With DC fast charging support up to 150 kW, the BYD Seal can be charged from 10-80% in a mere 37 minutes, making it a suitable choice for long journeys.
The sedan comes equipped with a spacious cabin with comfortable heated and ventilated front seats, a 60/40 split folding rear seat, and a massive 15.6-inch rotating infotainment touchscreen for easy control of the car’s features. Unique features include a crystal gearshift knob and a hidden compartment in the front for extra storage, making the BYD Seal an attractive option for consumers looking for luxurious interiors.
BYD Seal does not lack in terms of safety as well. Equipped with a total of nine airbags and a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) like automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring, the Seal gets top-drawer safety. These features work together to provide a secure driving experience for the driver and passengers.
