LiveWire is effectively Harley-Davidson’s Polestar and the company is looking to make a splash with the new S2 Mulholland.
Billed as a performance cruiser, the Mulholland is a “shift in design” as it moves away from the traditional motorcycle aesthetic that emphasizes the fuel tank. That being said, it doesn’t stray too far from convention – at least on the surface.
While the design isn’t necessarily groundbreaking, it incorporates a variety of sustainable and eco-friendly materials. In particular, the front and rear fenders are made using a CAP Hemp bio-composite. The bike will also be offered with an unpainted Lunar White finish, which showcases the hemp material while also “minimizing the use of traditional plastics and paints.” If that’s not your thing, you’re largely out of luck as the only other option is a Liquid Black paint job.
The eco-friendly touches continue elsewhere as the seat uses “petroleum-free, recyclable silicone rather than leather or vinyl.” Furthermore, recycled fishing nets provide the nylon used in the radiator shrouds and wiring caddies.
The Mulholland rides on the same S2 platform as the Del Mar and features a familiar powertrain with a 10.5 kWh battery pack. The latter feeds an electric motor developing 84 hp (63 kW / 85 PS) and 194 lb-ft (263 Nm) of torque. This enables the 432 pound (196 kg) bike to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.3 seconds.

Range varies by activity, but LiveWire says owners can expect to travel 121 miles in city conditions (195 km). However, the range plummets to 73 miles (117 km) when traveling at 55 mph (89 km/h).
On the bright side, a Level 1 charger can take the battery from a 20% to 80% charge in less than six hours. With a Level 2 charger, the time drops to 78 minutes.
The S2 Mulholland is already on sale and pricing starts at $15,999. That makes it far cheaper than the original LiveWire One, but slightly more expensive than the S2 Del Mar which begins at $15,499.
