Happy Gilmore star Christopher McDonald gives a surprising update on a potential sequel to the 27-year-old movie. The original movie remains one of Adam Sandler's most iconic to date, on par with the likes of Billy Madison and The Waterboy. In the movie, Sandler portrayed Happy Gilmore, a down-on-his-luck former hockey player who decides to capitalize on his newfound golf talent to save his grandmother's home from foreclosure. However, his hot temper threatens to upend his new career. Despite the comedy's lasting legacy, there was virtually no discussion of a sequel for years, but that has now changed.
