Following the loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, the Phoenix Suns head coach Frank Vogel urged the NBA to scrutinize the frequency of flopping by Thunder wing Luguentz Dort (Twitter video link).
Vogel expressed frustration over the favorable calls Dort receives, stating, “It’s ridiculous how he gets calls.” Vogel emphasized that such calls provide an advantage, asserting, “You can’t just fall down every time there’s contact and get a whistle.”
Kurt Helin of NBC Sports interprets Vogel’s remarks as a strategic move to influence referees preemptively, especially considering the possibility of facing the Thunder in the first round of the playoffs.
