Earlier in 2024, Nike Basketball’s celebrated GT series introduced a lower-budget tier of performance footwear called the Academy line. Borrowing the performance properties of the chief model, the Academy take-downs offer a comparable level of tech and utility, but at half the cost. Case in point: the GT Cut 3 has an MSRP of $!90; the GT Cut Academy is just $95.
Now, Nike is ready to usher in the newest member — the GT Hustle Academy. Based on this first look by @kicksdong, the Hustle’s Academy trim features a lower-cut design, a Flyknit upper, and a foam midsole with molded indentations. While the performance specifications are unknown, the Hustle Academy mirrors the same lightweight, soft, and supportive packaged offered by the Hustle 2 for do-it-all players.
Several colorway styles are in the works for a Summer 2024 release, so stay tuned for more first looks, release info, and official images.
In other Nike hoops news, the Nike GT Hustle 2 “Alien” could be seeing a release very soon.
