It’s official! Yorgos Lanthimos is returning to Cannes! It was announced this morning that his new feature film titled Kinds of Kindness is world premiering in the Cannes 2024 competition this May. We already posted the first teaser trailer a few weeks ago, and now Searchlight has revealed a brand new poster and a short 30-sec teaser celebrating the exciting Cannes news today. As his follow-up to the Oscar-winning Poor Things, Kinds of Kindness is described as an anthology film with three segments – following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability. The exquisite ensemble cast in this: Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, Hunter Schafer, and Krystal Alayne Chambers.
