Mahindra is all set to launch its new SUV, the XUV 3XO, on April 29. Keep following our website to see a detailed review. The XUV 3XO is actually a facelifted version of the XUV300, which was already on sale. It looks like Mahindra has already started production of the new XUV 3XO. A set of new images has surfaced online where a production version of the XUV 3XO was spotted on the road before the official launch.
The images have been shared by a user on Reddit. The person who posted these images wrote, “Took these while on my way to Trimbakeshwar, looks like Mahindra has been testing what looks like the upcoming Mahindra XUV300. I got a glimpse of the interior, and it surely felt plush and in line with today’s trends. However, they stuck to the previous generation in the case of the exterior, with a few bits and pieces here and there. What do you guys think? Will this make an impact on the already cluttered compact SUV segment?”
The images clicked by the user show the side profile and rear of the new SUV. The rear and the front of the SUV are completely covered, as these panels have major upgrades. The side profile of the SUV looks similar to the outgoing version of the XUV300. Surprisingly, the alloy wheels on the XUV 3XO look similar to what Mahindra already offers with the current version.
It needs to be seen if Mahindra will offer different wheels for the SUV when it gets launched later this month. The body-colored door handles also remain the same as before. The SUV seen here in the images gets a Midnight Black shade, which is a deeper shade of Blue that looks great on this SUV. There are three of these SUVs with covered front and rear seen in the images here.
We already have an idea of how the upcoming XUV 3XO is going to look. The SUV will come with a completely redesigned front and rear. The front will feature inverted “C” shaped LED DRLs, vertically stacked headlamps with projector LED units, and a gloss black element on the front grille with the Mahindra logo in the center.
Moving to the rear, the SUV will get an LED connecting bar with LED tail lamps and a completely redesigned bumper. While the social media user who posted the images mentioned that the interiors felt plush, we do not get to see any of it in the pictures. The XUV 3XO will offer features like leatherette upholstery, adjustable headrests for all five occupants, a floating-type infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and more.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO will be the first car in its segment to offer a panoramic sunroof, and there are also possibilities that Mahindra might introduce Level 2 ADAS with the XUV 3XO. Mahindra XUV 3XO will rival the likes of Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Tata Nexon in the segment.
Mahindra will offer the XUV 3XO with the same engine options as the outgoing version. There will be a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates 110 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with 6-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.
Next is the Turbo variant, which comes with a 1.2-liter Turbo petrol engine that generates 131 PS and 230 Nm of peak torque. This variant is available with a manual gearbox only. The third is a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine option that generates 115 PS and 300 Nm of peak torque. It is also available with a manual and AMT gearbox option.
