- The facelifted Kia EV6 showed up in a teaser, signalling its forthcoming debut.
- The electric crossover features a new lightning signature with slimmer LEDs.
- Besides the visual updates, the EV6 will likely inherit a larger battery pack and a revised chassis setup.
Kia is ready to unveil the facelifted version of the EV6 crossover, three years after the debut of the original. The fully electric model made its first appearance in a revealing teaser, before the official unveiling which is expected to take place in Korea later this month.
The updated Kia EV6 follows the closely-related Hyundai Ioniq 5 which received a facelift earlier this year, while the more premium Genesis GV60 – also based on the E-GMP architecture – is expected to be renewed soon.

The 2025 Kia EV6 will adopt the automaker’s evolved styling language, bringing it more in line with the rest of the lineup. The highlight is the completely new headlights featuring thinner LED graphics for a more modern look. The grille has a prominent “tiger nose” shape, with the redesigned front bumper creating a stronger 3D effect.
Changes are more discreet at the back, although Kia designers did tweak the LED taillight graphics, looking much cleaner without the vertical elements. We also expect a fresh rear bumper, and new wheel designs freshening up the profile.
Kia
Kia didn’t show the interior but the facelift will likely bring an updated infotainment system, a new steering wheel, and new color and trim options. It is also safe to assume that the EV6 will benefit from more sophisticated safety features and the latest in connectivity.
As for the underpinnings, the EV6 is expected to inherit the new 84 kWh battery pack from the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5, replacing the current 77.4 kWh unit. Judging from the Hyundai, the larger capacity will bring a slight improvement in the range figures. Furthermore, Kia engineers might tweak the chassis setup, targeting a more refined ride while retaining the sporty character of their offering. The single and dual electric motor powertrain options will likely be carried over, including the flagship GT model.
Kia recently confirmed that the facelifted EV6 will be launched in Q2 2024, with the EV6 GT following in Q4. We expect the model to roll out in its home market in Korea first, before coming to Europe and North America.
