Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE 53 Cabriolet, the droptop version of the all-new CLE 53 Coupe.
Visually, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE 53 Cabriolet is very similar in design to the coupe version, with a cloth convertible top instead of a steel roof. This top will be available in black, grey, or red and is, of course, fully automatic, able to open or close in roughly 20 seconds at speeds up to 37 mph. 19-inch AMG alloy wheels will be standard, with 20-inch wheels as an option. Like the coupe, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE 53 Cabriolet will feature aggressive front and rear bumpers as well as stylish quad tailpipes.
Inside, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE 53 Cabriolet features a nearly identical cabin to the coupe, with a 12.3-inch digital driver display and an 11.9-inch portrait center infotainment touchscreen. A flat-bottom steering wheel, sports seats, and user-configurable ambient lighting will be joined by carbon fiber trim, imparting the cabin with a sporty yet luxurious vibe.

Compared to the standard Mercedes-Benz CLE, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE 53 Cabriolet features a 2.3-inch wider front track and a 3.0-inch wider rear track, giving it a more athletic stance and helping with performance.
Motivation for the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE 53 Cabriolet comes by way of the same 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder that works in tandem with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This engine will deliver 443 hp and come standard with AWD and a 9-speed automatic transmission. 0-60 mph comes in an estimated 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. The 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE 53 Cabriolet will also come with standard adaptive dampers, rear-wheel steering, and a drift mode that sends 100% of the power to the rear wheels. Large 14.6-inch ventilated front brake rotors are joined by 14.2-inch rear rotors for optimal braking performance.
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE 53 Cabriolet will go on sale in the second half of this year, with pricing announced closer to its on-sale date.
