The Toyota Innova Cross is up to #7 in Vietnam.

Data by local association VAMA has the Vietnamese new vehicle market up 8.7% year-on-year in April to 24,350 sales, keeping in mind April 2023 was off -47.1% on the year prior. The year-to-date tally is down -11.1% to 82,515. When adding Hyundai figures reported separately from VAMA, these figures climb to 28,626 or the month (+6%) and 96,935 YTD (-12.8%). Hyundai however retains the YTD top spot ahead of Thaco-Kia. Mitsubishi (+47.5%) scores a fantastic gain in 5th place, a ranking it now also holds YTD, displacing Honda (-7.3%).

The Mitsubishi Xpander (+16.5%) remains in pole position in the models charts but only pipped the Ford Ranger (-11.6%) by just one sale. The Ranger is still #1 year-to-date above the Xpander. The Toyota Vios (+32.8%) is up three spots on last month to #3 while the new Toyota Yaris Cross is up seven to #4 vs. #11 so far this year. The Hyundai Accent (-19.2%) disappoints but stays at #5 while the new Mitsubishi Xforce launches another strong performance at #6. It now ranks #9 year-to-date with just two months of sales.
