The build quality of a vehicle is a major factor that people consider when buying a new car. The images have been shared by Mr. Kumar on his X profile (Twitter). The owner of the car posted that he, along with his wife, was traveling in their Mahindra XUV300 SUV when they met with an accident.
Upon impact, the vehicle lost control and toppled. Mr. Kumar was driving the car with his seat belt properly fastened. His wife, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, had the car seatbelt fastened from behind her.
After the accident, Mr. Kumar escaped with small scratches on his arms and legs. His wife, on the other hand, injured her spine as she was not wearing the seatbelt correctly. The airbags deployed on time and saved the occupants.
The customer was extremely happy with the overall build quality of the vehicle. He posted an image of his damaged car with the caption, “Hats off to @anandmahindra & team for the solid @MahindraXUV300. @MahindraXUV300 proves beyond doubt that it’s the safest . Can’t agree more with @GlobalNCAP.”
In the images, we see that the bonnet and roof of the SUV were damaged. The cabin also sustained some damage, with plastic trims coming loose in places. Other than that, everything looks fine. The owner mentions that the car had hit a sack filled with stones on the road, and the tire had burst. We don’t know the exact speed at which this accident happened; however, the customer claims he was driving at around 50-60 km/h.
Many of the users who came across this post do not believe the claimed speed by the customer. Most of the people who commented under the post were happy to know that the customer had survived the crash. The build quality of the vehicle is quite evident from the post. The pillars are all intact. The occupants were able to open the door properly and get out of the car after the crash.
The customer is really happy with the build quality of the vehicle. The Mahindra XUV300 had actually scored a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. Mahindra recently launched the heavily revised or facelifted version of the XUV300. They have renamed the SUV and now call it the XUV 3XO. The car is available with both petrol and diesel engine options.
It is not clear whether the vehicle is damaged beyond repair or not. However, the customer has mentioned in the comment section that he is planning to buy the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
