The Conjuring 2 continued the adventures of the cinematic versions of Ed and Lorraine Warren, with the ending of the film expanding the universe and even setting up an overarching villain for the franchise. Released in 2016, The Conjuring 2 brought back Patrick Wilson’s Ed and Vera Farmiga’s Lorraine to investigate a haunting in England. The film is based off their time working with the Hodgsons through their experiences with the Enfield Poltergeist.
