Maserati is well into its electrification era with the Folgore versions of the Grecale, Granturismo, and GranCabrio, but its latest zero-emission offering doesn’t come with wheels. The Tridente is a luxury powerboat with a fully electric powertrain created in collaboration with marine tech company Vita Power.
The Tridente was built by US company Hodgdon Yachts, featuring a sleek shell made of carbon fiber and a massive Maserati emblem printed on the bow. The boat measures 10.5 m (34.4 feet) long and can accommodate up to 10 people, including the driver.

The large sundeck has a bathing area with a fresh-water shower, so you can rinse off the salt after a swim in the ocean. The cockpit can be configured for “dining or acceleration”, although the most comfortable area is probably the rearwards-facing couch on the rear deck.
Furthermore, an enclosed cabin with a day berth and a small toilet are hidden inside the bow. While this doesn’t look big enough for 10 people, it should come in handy when you’re looking for a place to hide from the midday sun.
The fully electric powertrain by Vita Power produces 592 hp (441 kW / 600 PS), which is less than the 818 hp (610 kW / 829 PS) of the tri-motor setup in the pictured Maserati GranCabrio Folgore. Still, it is enough for a cruising speed of 25 knots (29 mph) on the water, and a top speed of 40 knots (46 mph).
Energy is sourced in a 252 kWh battery pack. Maserati didn’t announce the cruising range but said the battery can recharge in under an hour. This is made possible thanks to Vita Power’s dedicated marine fast-charging infrastructure.
The Tridente powerboat has a price tag of €2.5 million ($2.7 million), surpassing the cost of Maserati offerings for the road and the track.
