MAKEUP | Dior Forever Glow Maximizers in Rosy and Pink

Coming in 7 shades, this multi-purpose product is a concentration of “light in a bottle” made to enhance the complexion with a long-lasting glow. I shied away from this product at first as no matter how hard I have tried over the years, I just CANNOT get onboard with liquid highlighters. What made me change my mind was attending a Dior Masterclass back in May which taught us how to use these. Even when I packed on layer after layer of this product with my fingers and/or sponge, my skin still looked fresh which convinced me to get the shades “Rosy” and “Pink”.

I picked up “Rosy” because this also doubles as a shimmery blush. It is quite pigmented and has a rosewood hue to it. 

For some extra glow, I picked up “Pink” as it complimented “Rosy” quite well when used closer to the hairline and along the cheekbone. Though this shade is more like a liquid highlighter in function, I liked the hue of the pink and how refreshed it made my skin look!

The doe foot applicator is actually QUITE large and sometimes in my head I pretend I am a giant taking out my “regular sized” lipstick (LOL), but it actually delivers the perfect amount of product! All you need is a large *TAP* at the top of both cheekbones and then maaaaybe another two tiny taps with whatever product is leftover. You will not need more because you can see from the photo above that the applicator has quite the reservoir.  

Also, let’s give a hand for a liquid highlighter in a GLASS bottle! If you are the clumsy type, I am sorry, but I just love picking up this hefty thing every time I do my makeup! It feels so luxurious!

These highlighters are fairly pigmented with “Rosy” lookin’ particularly scary, but TRUST the process and keep sheering it out because after a few seconds it really does become the nicest blush! The photo below is a sheer amount of “Rosy” with a little bit of “Pink” on the top of my cheekbones for a fresh no-makeup makeup look.

In terms of longevity, I still spray my face with setting spray to lock everything in as my skin gets pretty oily throughout the day and does cause the product to fade. This highlighter lasts longer than a cream one on me and is also very fast to apply in the mornings!

Final verdict: While I don’t think anyone needs ALL seven shades I think having the shade “Rosy” is convenient as it doubles as a very nice blush as well! As you need so little product, these highlighters are definitely going to last me awhile and if you are like me in that you despise complex highlighting techniques, these Forever Glow Maximizers are practically foolproof!
