Yesterday Ford unveiled the updated 2025 Maverick, which has a new face, improved tech features and the addition of all-wheel drive for the hybrid version. Now Ford has unveiled a new version of the Maverick, called the Maverick Lobo, which is a lowered street truck version.

The Maverick Lobo features a lowered ride height, a sportier suspension and steering rack. The ride height is a half-inch lower in the front and 1.12 inches lower in the rear compared to the standard Maverick, and the roof height is 0.8 inches lower.
To give it more on-road performance, the Maverick Lobo borrows the brakes from the Focus ST and a twin-clutch rear drive unit found on Bronco Sport for torque vectoring. There’s aren’t any performance upgrades to the engine, so the Maverick Lobo is powered by the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 238 horsepower. A larger radiator and fan from Maverick’s 4K towing package and a transmission oil cooler have also been added.

A new Lobo drive mode, which is meant to only be used on closed courses improves cornering performance, grip, and stability, helping to minimize understeer. The Lobo Mode activates the truck’s torque vectoring and reduces the capability of the stability control system, which is why it’s meant to only be used on closed courses.

The 2025 Maverick Lobo stands out with its unique front fascia, painted rear bumper, and rocker moldings contrast, a black-painted roof and 19-inch black wheels. Inside there’s Grabber Blue and Electric Lime accent stitching, a graffiti-inspired overprint on the seats, which Ford says is a nod to street culture, and the Lobo name embossed into the front seats.
The Maverick Lobo will be offered in two trim levels: Standard and High. Ford is taking orders now with the first deliveries slated for early 2025.
