With Kobe Bryant’s birthday and Mamba Day celebrations just a few days away in August, all eyes are fixated on the official return of the Kobe 9 Elite. Truly breaking convention with its super high-cut design, the Kobe 9 Elite was an innovation marvel as it debuted Flyknit to basketball footwear for the first time. Nike has plans of bringing back the avant-garde silhouette on August 23rd as part of the “Halo” series, but there’s also a low-top version set to drop later in September.
A first look at the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “Halo” is revealed via @byrd_kickz on Instagram. Light the High counterpart, the Kobe 9 Elite Low “Halo” adapts an angelic all-white situation with the only break coming via the carbon fiber plating on the midsole. Thankfully, you won’t have to pick and choose between the High and Low because these won’t release until September 19th, 2024 for $190.
