Princess Acerola welcomes Koyomi to Heaven, where her beautiful soul went when her earthly self was turned into a vampire by Suicide-Master. She wears an oni mask so Koyomi won’t kill himself, and tells him she brought him here in order to try doing her old friend and creator a solid.
Suicide-Master is a strict gourmet, and as such will not accept any medicine from Hell, even if it would restore her from her mummified state. The Princess offers an alternate medicine that will work, asking Koyomi to close his eyes so she can remove her mask and kiss him.
Koyomi suddenly returns to the shrine in the arms of a distraught Shinobu and Mayoi, who were worried they might have accidentaly killed him. He wastes no time going to the husk of Suicide-Master and delivering the payload to which the Heavenly Princess Acerola entrusted him: her saliva.
Suicide-Master’s body is de-mummified, though Izuko estimates it will take time, at least the rest of the night and a day, for her to wake up. In the meantime, she’s located the fourth mummified high school girl, this one at the bottom of a reservoir, along with a new code she’d like Koyomi to decipher.
Once it’s her turn, Mayoi tells Koyomi and Shinobu the full tale of how she came to find Suicide-Master. She does this rakugo style, complete with laugh track, adding flair to her exposition.
Suicide-Master arrived in Japan by jumping (though not as violently as Kiss-Shot did centuries ago) and in avoiding Mayoi she landed funny, splatted, and died. When she revived she was petite, but herself, and told Mayoi how she had come to pay her friend Kiss-Shot a visit.
Mayoi showed her the way, as is her divine purpose, but later discovered Suicide-Master had been mummified and buried. Combined with the unlikelihood of a gourmet like Suicide-Master attacking the high schoolers, it appears another vampire attacked her and assumed her identity.
Compressing the timeline of this mystery is the fact that Kagenui Yozuru is on her way to them. When she arrives, there will probably be nothing stopping her from eliminating Suicide-Master. So in the day or so it will take her, Koyomi must crack the code, find the impostor, and clear Suicide-Master’s name.
