Dark Star Pictures has revealed the official trailer for Kidnapping Inc., a Haitian kidnapping action thriller set on & filmed on the Caribbean island. This first premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival last year in the Midnight section, although reviews were mostly mixed on it (currently at 62% on RT). Doc and Zoe are two hapless kidnappers tasked with what appears to be a simple abduction for hire, only to find out that it’s anything but and end up in the middle of a political conspiracy. A kinetic, vibrant action film described as “a frantic, frenzied black comedy ride that never lets up and doesn’t leave hostages on the crossroad between Pulp Fiction and City of God.” The film, which tackles the kidnapping crisis in Haiti, had multiple crew members get kidnapped during the film’s production.
