Lexus is preparing to bid farewell to the RC and RC F coupes, rolling out limited “Final Edition” trims in Japan to mark the occasion. These special send-offs will be capped at 200 units each, as production of both models winds down by November 2025. Both Final Edition variants feature a distinctive specification with exclusive interior and exterior details.

The RC Final Edition stands out with 19-inch Enkei alloy wheels finished in “sputtering paint,” red brake calipers, and black mirror caps accented with smoked inserts. Meanwhile, the flashier RC F Final Edition steps things up with 19-inch BBS forged alloy wheels in a sleek Metal Star Gloss Black finish, paired with red brake calipers for a sporty touch. Beyond the smoked mirror accents, the RC F flaunts carbon fiber bodywork, including the splitter, side skirts, diffuser, active rear wing, and roof.
Color options add some variety, with the RC offering nine shades and the RC F offering seven, including the newly introduced Sonic Iridium.
Inside, both models feature a “Black & Flare Red” trim and Final Edition badges. The Ultrasuede upholstery with red contrasting stitching and the carbon inserts create a sporty atmosphere, especially in combination with the bucket seats of the RC F. Finally, Lexus added a special welcome sequence for the instrument cluster.
Predictably, there are no changes under the skin. The RC Final Edition is available with 2.0-liter, hybrid 2.5-liter, and 3.5-liter V6 powertrain options. The RC F retains the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with 467 hp (348 kW / 473 PS), combined with rear-wheel-drive and a limited-slip differential.
Since its launch in 2014, the Lexus RC has sold around 79,000 units across 62 countries, a respectable figure, though hardly a blockbuster hit. The performance-focused RC F, a more niche rival to the BMW M4, has sold 12,000 units in 57 countries. Despite these relatively modest numbers, Lexus says the Final Editions are a gesture of gratitude to loyal customers who stuck with the lineup.
The Final Editions of the RC and RC F are already available to order in Japan. Pricing starts from ¥6,660,000 ($42,700) for the RC300 Final Edition, and climbs to ¥13,600,000 ($87,300) for the V8-powered RC F Final Edition.
What’s Next?
As of now, Lexus is keeping quiet about a potential successor to the RC. However, reports from Japan suggest that a new two-door 2+2 coupe might already be in development. This mysterious new model could potentially replace both the RC and the more luxurious LC coupe.
