After the US Supreme Court upheld the TikTok ban unless it’s sold to a US-based private investor, TikTok has decided to go dark after Sunday, January 19. In an official statement, the company pointed to the political uncertainty as the main reason for shutting down its service in the US.
The statement itself is pretty short and criticizes the Biden Administration for not providing a definitive statement on how the issue would be resolved and TikTok’s future in the country.
