The Golden State Warriors got their second consecutive win, brushing aside a spirited Washington Wizards outfit 122-114 to go a game over .500 but that wasn’t the biggest story.
Jordan Poole returned to the franchise where he won his ring and broke through as a bonafide NBA talent after years in the wilderness.
What seemed like a genuine long-term relationship developing for Poole in the Bay Area was torpedoed by a single incident when he was involved in a scuffle with Draymond Green.
Speaking on his return to the Warriors as a Wizard this time, Poole said he still loved “most of the guys” to which Draymond Green had an internet-breaking response.

Green has never been one to do “media filtered” comments be it in his press conference or on social media through his own channels.
His latest one might have taken the cake though as he responded to Poole’s comments on his feelings of being a Warriors.
He almost gave the Warriors a scare with a virtuoso performance for the Wizards, finishing the game with 38 points and eight three-pointers. After the game, he reflected on his Warriors days.
Poole said: “Yeah, I love those guys over there. I love most of those guys over there. A really good group. A really good staff. Shout out to the fans. I saw a lot of 3 jerseys out there, a lot of JP3 jerseys, which is always really cool. I always get a lot of love (here). I spent some good quality time here, and it’s dope to see it appreciated.”
Green’s attention was caught by Poole correcting himself to say he loved “most of those guys” instead of being a blanket statement, a reference to Poole still holding a grudge over that scuffle.
Green responded with just four words, “I really am sorry”, sending the NBA fans into a meltdown.

NBA is never left wanting for drama but this season, most was dominated by Jimmy Butler’s rift with the Miami Heat. Green has just revived another thread.
Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and expressed their shock and disbelief that Green would publicly comment something like that when he wasn’t mentioned by name.
“Thought this was the Money Greem parody account,” said one, while another agreed, “I THOUGHT THIS WAS THAT FAKE DRAYMOND ACCOUNT BRO.”
Another smelled a lost bet in the background, saying, “Did you lose a bet to [Kevin Durant]?” as another called him out for his hypocrisy, “You were literally mocking him a month ago”.
From lost bets to conspiracies, there was everything as another fan said, “They got you on those good pain meds for that calf don’t they.”
Lastly, a fan took a sombre view of the situation, saying Poole could have made a difference to the current Warriors roster.
They said: “Too late bro. JP was the one man, our future who could help Steph rn. We could’ve easily traded Kuminga if we still had JP.”
It might be “too late” to salvage it but both Green and Poole are definitely not over it!
