Bill Simmons identified a major former Warriors member who is linked to the 76ers.
The Philadelphia 76ers have not performed up to expectations this season. With the signing of Paul George, the franchise was set to be a contender.
But the signing of George has gone terribly. Fans recently bashed the team for picking George over an inconsistent former player.
On top of that, Joel Embiid has struggled with injuries throughout this season. Brian Windhorst recently gave some insight into his injury struggles, and it doesn’t bode well for 76ers fans.
The franchise needs a change in direction, as their front office has not done a good job. But things might turn around soon, as Bill Simmons revealed a massive executive might be up for grabs.

76ers linked with Bob Myers
On his podcast, Bill Simmons revealed that the Philadelphia 76ers might land former Warriors GM Bob Myers.
He noted that Myers, who is currently an advisor to the NFL’s Washington Commanders, could make the move to the 76ers front office.
“You know, Bob Myers helped Washington with the football team, right? He was on that advisory committee. I just feel like he’s looming with the Sixers thing — and I don’t think I’m alone.”
“There’s been some Bob Myers-Philly buzz that I think has been building because I think he had a good experience with Josh Harris.”
Myers was a crucial part of the Warriors’ organization, serving as their GM from 2012 to 2023. He has been credited with some massive moves, such as drafting Draymond Green and signing Kevin Durant.

Where would Bob Myers fit
The arrival of Bob Myers could be a big boost to the 76ers. But where would he fit within the organization?
One would imagine he would aim for the same role he had with the Warriors as the GM or president of basketball operations.
But that position is currently held by Daryl Morey, who has been in office since 2020. Could this mark the end of Morey’s time as the 76ers’ head honcho?
Morey and Myers could work together in theory, but putting together two executives with vastly different philosophies could be a recipe for disaster.
